2001 – December 24 – Volume 29, No. 8
The winter of 2001-02 kicked off with some high-profile events, and Snow Week was there to capture the action. Read about cover boy Justin Tate’s breakthrough victory directly in front of Blair Morgan and Tucker Hibbert at the Duluth Snocross in Pro Stock, plus Hibbert’s Pro Open victory ahead of Morgan. Some character named Levi LaVallee swept both Semi-Pro finals that weekend at Duluth…. we wonder what ever became of that guy?! This was also the first U.S.-based race where a mysterious Ski-Doo chassis wearing A-arms instead of trailing arms made an appearance in the Pro Open class…. We’d later know it as the REV. In the same issue, you can read about Chris Hortness’ triumph in Pro Champ and Formula I at Beausejour, Manitoba, plus see holeshots, racewire and a whole lot more.
